Not many words for the last 29 hours. The gut-wrenching moments of knowing the monster F5 is headed straight for your sweet family and you’re helpless. The time of not knowing if they’re okay or if they still have a home standing. They were spared by the grace of God yesterday. A few blocks and there’s nothing left. My poor Kristin had her 20 birthday yesterday by aimlessly walking in rubble for over 8 hours with no way to get home with all roads closed. Today I got to hug every single one of them in the picture and I can’t tell you a better feeling. Thankfulness is too small of a word. Today while sitting with my sweet papa at his last chemo treatment, (praise Jesus!) we just talked about how blessed we were. Seeing the Oklahomans come together as we have, I can’t even put into words the pride it makes you feel. I know many feel the same. We’ve got a long road ahead, but Moore will not do it alone. We are Oklahoma. Where politics thrown aside and difference embraced. Where beckoned storehouses overflow and willing smiles proudly ignore tall lines. Where businesses and newscasters boldly highlight prayer. Where the hopeless meet the hopeful. We are Oklahoma. Prayer is power. #prayforoklahoma
